It is probably because they introduced new picture standard. I would not wory yet, usually it takes much longer that 41 days. For example my friend landed april 3d and received new picture request last week. I landed april 6th and received my pr card this week, so your is still on its way probablySunset0505 said:Hubby landed 29th April...when I checked CIC site when the update date was May 3rd the processing time was 41 days...today is 41 days from date of landing...odd thing is we sent new picture to CIC LA in Dec 2015 and when we went through border two weeks ago the agent told us the picture was the wrong size on the COPR....we told him that this is what CIC LA wanted and we gave it to them...He said ok...it almost felt like he was saying we added the picture ourselves...
I cant see them requesting new photos since it changed in Nov 2015 and we got new ones and overnighted them in Dec 2015 at the request of CIC...Owl29 said:It is probably because they introduced new picture standard. There is not much you can do...you could apply for PR travel document but this also takes time to process...did she tell you where the card will be mailed to? When I called about my husband's, I found out they were mailing it to the permanent address on my file (sponsor) and not the address we gave to them when he landed. This caused a bit of stress for us to track it down.tom_from_sk said:Greetings everyone! I have a couple questions below I would appreciate some help with if anyone has experience with a similar response from the CIC agents...
My wife landed on April 7th in Calgary at the CIC office. That is 60 days ago from today and we have not yet received her PR card,
We called today to inquire about the status and the lady informed us that the application/file was sent to "production" on June 7th.
We are anxious to receive the card due to upcoming travel and wonder what 'production' means? How long are we from actually receiving the card? Can anyone help? (It will be mailed to an address in Alberta)
The agent mentioned this was the last stage, but said this could take until July 19, but may arrive sooner. We are confused about the terminology and are stressed as we need the card earlier than July 19.
Thank you for your help and have a great day!
Everyone who had to send new photos is screwed. Doesn't matter how many you send.Abydos said:Oh CIC
I landed at the end of March 2016 and was told by the officer processing me that I'd need to submit new photos. Seeing from this forum the drama this has caused I called CIC and got forms, specs and the address from them to send new photos before they requested - couriered to them at the beginning of April.
I called them today and there seems to have been some issue matching the photos up with my application (or they didn't even bother trying) because they say they sent a request for new photos on the 24th of May, which I DIDN'T receive : Now off to pay for a third set of photos and courier mail!
Looks like I shall be posing as a visitor when I board the plane back to Canada in August or using my old work permit, then using my COPR at the border. I've seen people say this is no problem but it really isn't my first choice.
It changed January 3rd 2016, which is after December 2015, therefore you're screwed just like the rest of us.Sunset0505 said:I cant see them requesting new photos since it changed in Nov 2015 and we got new ones and overnighted them in Dec 2015 at the request of CIC...

They go to some backwoods office in the middle of nowhere, never to be looked at again.
And costs about 150$ :/Abydos said:Yup!
How they expect people not to leave the country and return by air for 6 months while they wait for their PR card I don't know! PRTDs are useless a lot of the time because of the time it takes to get one wherever you're going (in most VOs).
Which country are your from?Pata said:Hi!
I just wanted to share with you my experience regarding leaving Canada without a pr card...
So, I landed March 29th and of course I was told not to leave until getting the card (59 days aprox). Two days after my awesome husband bought a plane ticket for me to go visit my familiy after 2 years of not seeing them.
I left Canada that same week that I landed. Got to my home country and went to the Visa application center to get information about the PR travel document, I gathered all the requested documents and wrote an explanation letter about why I left without the PR card, paid $50 CAD that day and 5 days later I had my passport back with the travel document on it.
Honestly it was very easy and super fast... when I came back to Canada the CBSA officer told me... Too bad that they just allow one entry with the travel document, I've heard of people that landed 8 months ago and haven't received the card... stamped my passport, gave it back to me and that was it!
I know that leaving without a card is a hard desicion to take, I it wasn't because my husband bought the plane ticket without me knowing i probably wouldn't have left... at the end it was all worth it!
From my understanding it's similar in London and it takes a weekmega_option101 said:Which country are your from?
For me the PRTD costs 150$ because I need to go through the CVAC in Poland - they charge an additional 100$ to the 50$ fee CIC charges...
