Waiting for Passport Request

Per the canadapost website when tracking my mail, envelope has reached the delivery office in Buffalo but does not seem to be delivered yet. I sent it on friday thru xpress mail. This is for my RPRF payment and hope to get my PPR sooooonnnnnnnnnnnnn... I am anxious....neeed it now....!!

ok, finally delivered.. RPRF draft reached Buffalo office today 12/21 at 11:48am.... thank God...now inquire Buffalo about it....

I don't know why Buffalo has to take so long. I heard that now all the PNP program takes longer than before..

Think it this way: more and more people are qualified for the PNP program, but CIC won't hire more officers to process these cases. So it's reasonable.

At lease you got your IA already. I got nth since ME sent.

Sent specific inquery yesterday and this is what I got this morning:

We have requested background information from other government offices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Still waiting.......waiting ..... :'(

i may have the similar situation as you.. but just wonder why they have to do background info check? does it mean police certificate ?

when I submitted the PNP application, the provincal immigration office has done it and we did finger print here too, will they do again?

background check.....doesn't it have something to do with the information you have provided them like your education, work history....while police certificate and the works....now that's security check.....

I did send the police clearance for my wife, my oldest son and myself and I got a letter for the initial assessment in october 29 and they said no additional documents required so I am not expecting them to request any other documentation and I am now just waiting for them to complete the background check from Canada offices, "I guess"...!! I sent the RPRF last friday and arrived in Buffalo office this past tuesday.

I did send the police clearance for my wife, my oldest son and myself and I got a letter for the initial assessment in october 29 and they said no additional documents required so I am not expecting them to request any other documentation and I am now just waiting for them to complete the background check from Canada offices, "I guess"...!! I sent the RPRF last friday and arrived in Buffalo office this past tuesday.

Superboy, so you sent your rprf before they sent you the initial assessment letter, what documents did you have to include?

to mutt391, no. They sent me the initial assessment letter (dated oct 20) but got it in my hands in oct 29. I sent the RPRF last friday dec/17 and reached buffalo office Dec/21st. Sent specific iquiery Dec/22nd and got email back Dec/23rd saying they have requested background checks to other government office(s). My Ecas still showing status as In Process and details say "We started processing your application in June 22nd 2010". I just put a cover letter stating the draft for RPRF is attached, put the PNP and immigration File number stickerts and sent it thru xpress mail. They have not requested any additional documents since I sent the whole package. I included the police clearance for all of us when I sent this package and so far nothing else is required.

Cool! and the initial assessment was the one with the medical forms correct? also anyone here has ecas issues?? Since day 1 my ecas hasnt been updated at all (it says it cant find me wtf?), yet i still got my medical forms..

it happens a lot, i got PPR already and e-cas still says In Process. i've read of people who already got their visa and e-cas changed to decision made after landing. it's quite inconsistent. some get e-cas updates every step of the way, others like us don't. oh well, as long as it's moving along right?

mutt391, no the initial assessment was after the medical which were done in july but completed in september 29 since I had to wait for a cardiologist appointment due to my heart murmur but everything fine, I got it and my son as well since I was born..inocent ones.
