hi daboy,

did you include a prepaid return envelope with your passport? how did you go about getting one, could that be the reason why you got the passports back in 2 weeks?

congrats!

HI daboy...u r very lucky man..i wish buffalo deal with me same like u..lol

That's good to know...unfortunately each individual process is different...there are a lot of factors that makes the process different for each one of us. Depends on nationality, field of work, family or single, etc. and Immigration office and peak times as well...Hope I will get it by December....nice bday and holiday gift...

that's what i'm hoping for too...just want my family to be together for Christmas :)

why don't you still go to canada and join with your hubsand and wait there.. you can stay there for 1/2 year maxi for tourist , i think at that time you will get PR approval, then you just go to any border to land.

to be honest, i don't know where to begin with applying for visitor visa...does he apply for us or do i do it here in the philippines?

plus, my husband is convinced we'll get PPR soon and there will be enough time for the visa to be issued and for my daughter and i to join him in Canada before Christmas.

Well at this point not sure if it is worth to go that route, it will be great because family will be together but the the visa process may take longer than to get the PPR. Not sure if you see my point.

i see your point, just need more patience and wait it out i guess, and pray that it will indeed come soon.

i realized it's also hard to go through the process again - filling out forms, gathering supporting documents, stressing if i did everything right...plus another set of fees, for CAD 300 I could buy a lot of winter clothing and what not :) we will live in saskatchewan so winter wear is a must!

Correct, believe me I think I will become an immigration consultant without studying this thing. I have gone thru the process about 3 times. I currently do not hold Visa to go out/in Canada fortunately I have wife and kids here but I've been thinking over and over and collecting papers, plus paying fees I am bankrupt. But this is an investment for our future and mostly for my kids. But still my point is you have waited the longer why not wait for the shorter and avoid paying more money to immigration..
