Hi Caconstantino_33,

Same with me when I'm at your stage of waiting for PPR, there's a lot of things going inside of my mind like getting denied, incomplete docs, application misplaced or unattended and so and so., but I guess they are professional enough to handle all this things and sometimes it depends on how complicated your application was. In my case, I received my request for passport after 5 months and 1 week. My application seems a little bit complicated since I have 2 application on cue, one is MPNP and the other one is FSW. The good thing was after a very long time of waiting for PPR, they send me a separate letter that they're going to refund the fee for my FSW application.Hope that your application was not as complicated as mine. Just have a little more of patience & prayers and it will surely come. Looking at the trend, I think they give more emphasis on the application that is currently processed and near to completion.

Hi Findude32, momofjazzandcj & sandar

Any update with your application. Let's hope that it's your turn now.

Hi Minie,

Any good news from you? Did you already set a date when you're going to send your follow up letter to the embassy? Any deadline you set. Let's hope a good news will arrive to you tomorrow just like the case of sammy_09. An instant visa or a one day visa. Are you aware of the photo specs for immigrant visa, if not here it is;

1) Full front view of a person's head and shoulders showing full face centred in the middle of the photo.

2) Be identical ( black and white or colour) in plain white background,

3) Photos must measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1" and 1 3/8" from chin to crown, must have 35 mm X 45 mm (1 3/8 X 1 3/4) finished size.

Hi steven,

No good news yet. I am planning to fax my follow up letter next week coz it really bothers me now. thank you for above information.

Hi Minie,

I think it's ok for you to make a follow since there's not much time if you're visa will expire this coming Sept 30, 2010 ( I assume it was Sept 30, 2009 when you first did your medical examination ). Get also opinion of your spouse, family and friends with the draft letter you've made and asks if the letter is perfectly fine - "more heads is better than one". Maybe you can add that all the medicals were done, RFRF was paid and highlight the additional medical done if any since it is written in the letter that the applicant must inform the visa office in writing if in case there's additonal medical test done required by the DMP ( Designated Medical Practitioner ). The good tone of the letter must be something like you're just informing them of what you have given them and never make it like you're demanding for visa right away. Let's always assume that the VO handles different application on a case to case basis. Goodluck and let's hope that it will be your turn next.

Steven,

You got it right. Our medical exam was taken in September 30, 2009 while my additional dependent was on May 2010.. Actually, I have been editing my follow up letter for the nth time. The tone of my letter which I would like to project is somewhat inquiring on the status of my application, then I would just connect it to the validity period our medical exam which is about to lapse.

It's rev 9, and I guess it's almost perfect now. In my opinion, the best option to send them the letter is through courier ( DHL or equivalent ). If by fax, sometimes it wasn't so clear and if by email, I don't think they have enough of time to read all incoming messages from their inbox. Don't lose hope yet, maybe until end of this month you're going to received a call from the embassy just like the case of sammy_09.

Hi constantino,

I think we're really on the same page.. i called the bank last month to check if they already took my RPRF. The bank said that it was cashed April 14. Im also waiting for our PPR until now. Its more than 3 months already. My dad's cousin who also applied under provincial nominee, they got their PPR within 3 mos from the time they had their medical exam. Unfortunately mine is taking too long. Im still praying that GOD will provide it one of these days. Lets help each other to pray and hope to see you in manitoba. :)

Still no word from them. I mailed them RPR fee without their request about 2 weeks ago and they still did not cash it yet.
They said (in Jan.): we will make a decision withing 90 days and it has been 6 monthes already! and tell me WHO HAS THAT MUCH PATIENCE?

hi constantino, alimosen,

I'm waiting my PPR for 5 months, kaya alam ko ang feeling ng naghihintay but dont worry kc kung me problem naman ang docs they inform you right away I guess thats the normal process, check nio ang AOR kc naka indicate kung ilang month ang processing nila kc yung sa akin narecieved ang docs ko Oct 9 2009 until June 2010 so ang PPR ko natanggap ko ng June 29, 2010 so sakto lang dung sa 8 months process na naka indicate sa AOR but 1 week prior mg end ng June nag fax ako sa kanila ng letter re follow-up in 5 days natanggap ko ang PPR thru email and i'll sent my PP July 2 natanggap ng CEM ng July 12 so waiting ulit ng another 90 days based dun letter but usually it took 1 to 2 months, Im hoping before my work permit expires on Sept 7, 2010 matanggap ko nag PP with shining sticker Immigrant Visa...kaya lets keep on praying and hoping that everything will be fine for us..

Hi Sandar,

Maybe a follow up letter might do, and you can use the letter or email sent to you stating that the 90 day period have lapsed. In my opionion only.
