FSW pala si char_bonel and ambilis ng processing time nya. Goodluck to her and to all of us waiting for PPR, hope to receive some good news this week.

Has anyone checked if na encash na ng CEM yung RPRF managers check nyo? Kasi ive read somewhere na they would return the RPRF pyment if denied visa application natin. So if na encash nila it would probably mean ok application natin. Na delay lang talaga?? Tama ba ?

I also got this from FSW thread, and if this is the real cause let's hope for a faster processing once they've done something better for the huge volume of applicants.

Canadian Embassy Manila Processing Time Delay

Recently, a number of our clients has been wondering why they do not receive notice from the Canadian Visa Office-Manila even after the 45 days processing time indicated on their acknowledgment letter. This of course makes most of them worried about their application.

Are you in similar situation?

You shouldn't worry if there's a delay, it has nothing to do with your documents. Give it 2 weeks alloance before you make a follow up. There seems to be delay in processing due to volume of applications the visa office is reviewing.

The new acknowledgemt letter we received recently indicates a different processing time.

Processing Time:

Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category in which you have applied are finalized in an average of 6 to 12 months in our office. If you have not received any instructions from this office within 90 days from the date of this letter, please contact us directly and inform us of this.

That used to be 45 days.

The same thing is true with those who have submitted their original passports, waiting for their visa. It used to be returned with 2-3 weeks. But now, it takes longer.

“We will make our best efforts to have your passport(s) returned to you with your visa(s) within 90 days from their receipt at the Embassy. You should not make any plans to travel to Canada until you are in possession of your passports and the required visas.”

Processing period remains to be 6-12 months from the time the Visa Office received your application with supporting documents, after assessment from Centralized Intake Office.

So there. That explains why there is a delay. Avoid unncessary stress. It's not you, it's the embassy. ;-)

Let's hope that's the way it is, more prayers and while we're still here let's enjoy what we have. At this stage we're really excited to go there but I guess it's better to plan ahead for whatever things that may happen to us when we get there. Reading from other posts, the money or POF is really important. The amount of money to bring must be good enough for 6 months or more. That money will be good while looking for a job, house rentals and daily expenses.

yah your right the cost of living here in Canada are expensive depends which part in Canada and its not easy to look for a job specially nowadays and still recession not fully recovered so many locals are unemployed and they're priority to get hire than newcomer but don't worry as long you're not choosy you can easily find job whatever it is..

sana naman magchange na ang ECAS status ko by the end of next week......haist...waiting time is really frustrating........

How is it now in canada? I read from other forum that it's not easy to get a job ( your dream job ) there's a lot of certification needed, canadian experience ( some work as volunteer to get this canadian experience ) and one must exert extra effort if you want to work for in a regulated type job. I'm also thinking about it, like some sort of survival jobs in your first few months or year. What are some unregulated jobs that could help somehow and will not slice a big portion of your savings (POF).

Hey Guys! are we all under PNP ( Provincial nominee program )? I believe it's true that they prefer applicants from FSW ( Federal skilled worker ) especially those under the NOC 38 list. But don't be worry because we're already here at this stage and only a few more steps and waiting patiently, we'll gonna get this thing done in his own way. More power from this group....

one already got PPR with CSP VO as of June 7, 2010 @ 8:50am info from the forum P2C.

It's nice to hear rjn1999, hope that they will request more PPR. A new sign of hope under VO CSP. Keep in touch guys....
