Waiting for Passport Request

I'm wondering how CIC would inform the applicant or how long it takes CIC to contact applicant regarding about redoing the medical. MY medical has expired this month due to long background check. How do I know that CIC would contact me or I just wait to hear from CIC to contact me?
Please share your experience or anything you know about.

Welcome to the group, that was quite a very long time of waiting. If I'm not mistaken your medical was done on May of 2009. Can you share your timeline with us? Is there anything included in your letter up to when they will process your application? Just to share mine, I applied under MPNP general stream and the processing time for PPR is up to Aug 4, 2010. If beyond that date I haven't heard any reply from them, it is stated in the letter that I should go directly to the embassy for a follow up.

sir pagkaka alam ko (PV2 )Category of Applicant..tapos yung (3W1) BFTO /...di ko lang po alam meaning ng BFTO...

check ko lang pero parang wala nka lagay na BFTO sa 3W1 dun sa request for addtl docs...ang nkalagay dun sa letter eh ung file number namin them 3W1 sa huli.

yah i received the ppr thru email only.. that was last may 20.. may 21 in the philippines.. i dont think they will send a copy in the regular mail.. coz below is written on my email:

This correspondence is being sent to you at the email you provided on your application, in order to expedite processing of your application. Please confirm receipt by sending a blank reply to this email.

i think it wont be treated as spam mail coz i got mine in the inbox folder.. and the subjec is "application for canadian visa [file number ]

thank you caconstantino_33 for the info. i called the clinic this morning they say that theres no need for sched. just go to their clinic. we will having our medical exam this thurs. my another question is i have a cold due to allegy. and my kid have a mosquito bite that swollen. do you think that it can affect our medical exam? thanks a lot. goodluck! mam mahirap sagutin ang tanung mo ,pero sa aking opinion ay di naman makaka effect sa medical yun , At list minor lang po yun . ,, in my experience misis ko may diabetic kaya maraming laboratory ang ginawa sa kanya at pasalamat sa diyos natapus namin ,

I've read from other post that some applicants go to embassy for a followup for cases like yours ( medical nearing expiry ). I've never been there for a follow up but based from what I've read, they fill up the form with your name , file number, contact number and other relevant info. Some got a reply, like the embassy have requested you for this ( ex. add'l docs on this date, PPR on this date, etc ). The applicant normally says that nothing was received on that day and then you can start a good communication as what others did. Goodluck findude32 let's hope for the best for this group.

Do you have a regular checkup with your doctor? If not the applicant will be unaware that they have some sort of sickness ( minor/major ) when they go for a medical exam. Some were surprised that they are hypertensive which I think is normal due to anxiety but others are really hypertensive. On the other side if you have a regular checkup with your doctor you’ll be more confident to let yourself do the medical examination. I think that the medical officer of CEM is more particular with diseases that can harm other people. Just like caconstantino_33 mentioned to you, insect bites and colds are minor and it may happen to anybody else. Stay positive and let’s hope we’ll gonna make it all well.

i suggest that if anyone can spend a little oney for an extra consultation to their private physician prior to medical exam will be more helpful....sabi nga ni steven anxiety is a big factor in having high BP...and knowing that you have done your part like drinking plenty of water, anticipating mens cycle(for the female) would be a big contrinbuting factor in lessening up the anxiety...i even experienced an elevation in BP kasi nga conscious ako masyado sa med exam....goodluck sa inyo....God bless

yup, tnx guys, my pdos will be schedule on june 1,2010 at 1 pm, i got my reservation by phone only.I need to be hurry coz im 7 months pregnant right now, theres no time of thinking twice....i need to be hurry but for u guys just relax and be patient.i already had our e tickets since its already fully booked due to summer vacation in canada...thank god evrything comes into places.
