Waiting for fingerprints results and background verification completion

Problem is not RCMP, problem is IRCC that takes ages to acknowledge receipt of FP and update the application. Such an outdated system they use for this! This can easily be automated, but NO, IRCC has to abide by its old-age out of date processes.

If you are wondering why I sound frustrated, then you should now that I am 2017 applicant, and I am still without a Citizenship. I tried everything, from MPs to Lawyers, nothing worked.

In my case, it took me 6 months after submitting the fingerprint to complete background verification. I completed my fingerprint in Sep 2021 and my background was verified in March 2022.

my citizenship test was in oct 2021

Does anyone have new updates about FP to BG completed? How long does it take now? Anything specific to Toronto location.

My timeline is as below

• April 1, 2022 - FP submitted to RCMP
• April 9, 2022 - Citizenship test attempt
• April 12, 2022 - IRCC marks Citizenship test completed
• April 13, 2022 - RCMP transfers FP details to IRCC
• April 22, 2022 - IRCC receives FP from RCMP

Citizenship Test - COMPLETED
All other statuses - IN PROGRESS

I read it takes around one month for them to acknowledge receipt of FP

I am waiting for acknowledgment too, my FP was delivered to IRCC Vancouver on 6th May

RCMP verified and sent results to IRCC - 14th March 2022
But still waiting for an update….

They have a backlog of two million applications, I don't think this will help now.

Finally got my BG completed dated May 27, 2022.
Waiting on Language, Presence, Prohibition and Ceremony.

I submitted my fingerprint 12-January-23 and I received email from agency who took my fingerprint that Canadian authority has accepted the fingerprint. But there is no such update in my IRCC account. Is this normal ??

Very normal - can take even weeks. IRCC works on people's luck...!!

One last question. My profile reads that you have to submit the Fingerprint. So, I have received this email informing me that the Canadian authority has provided AOR for fingerprint transaction I don't have to worry about this message in profile.
