I had a hard time finding this information on the CIC website so I thought I would share it here.

As of July 31, 2015: Once you receive your COPR in the mail and then "land" in Canada you will wait 8-10 weeks to receive your actual Permanent Resident card. If you are from a Visa exempt country then you can still use your COPR for travel. I think it's more limited if you are from a Visa required country.

I know how difficult waiting is for this process, so I thought I would create this post. Please feel free to update the information as time goes on if the wait times change.

cheers!

The best source for new PR card processing times is here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

As of today, it's 56 calendar days.

I landed in july 3 and received my card on september 16.
