Visitors Visa (TRV) Processing time 2016 India

Hi Everyone!

My husband's file for spousal sponsorship is in queue to be finalized with the New Delhi Visa Office but it has been "In Process" for 20 months now and when inquired via MP, I was told that it can potentially take up to next year March. We want to apply for a TRV for my husband but he has been refused twice because of him being on a work permit in New Zealand (i.e. not strong enough ties to show he will return to NZ). We are thinking of getting a letter from the MP and then applying again for a TRV. What are the suggestions of the senior members on this thread? Should we take the risk to apply a third time? What do you think our chances will be for a TRV if we apply with a letter from the MP explaining the whole situation?

Congratulations!! I was a very quick process for you. I just wanted to ask you that did you get a file no from visa office after submitting paper application. If yes then after how many days? Your reply will be highly appreciated.

NO I DIDN'T GOT FILE NUMBER BUT THEY GAVE US TRACKING NUMBER WHICH STARTS WITH 2016...INAMTRV.....

Hi everyone..
Applied for TRV on 19th October at VFS delhi.. Status is still under processing.
I applied with a valid work permit (I came back for a visit to India and my visa had expired)...Let's see how long it takes.

I'm also in the same state like you. Applied for TRV with valid WP on 17th Oct

DO you know how long the processing will take. The VFS representatives informed it would be around 35 days.

I am hoping that the application would be processed under can+ as I have travel history to Canada (only Canada though).
Which VFS did you apply at ?

Today I got the message that my processed passports dispatched from Blore Visa Office.
Feeling excited. Just in 12 working days!!!!!

Your question could have been specific.

All except new Medical report. My old medical report is expired. But still attached it with the document set along with copy of expired ON health card.

Here is what I applied with, please tell me if I am missing something -

1. Passport copy (all stamps and marked pages)
2. copy of Valid PGWP
3. Job offer letter
4. A letter of support from my employer stating salary, benefits and the date offer was made.
5. Bank documents, showing 6k CAD in my Canadian bank account ( were not stamped by bank but there was no way I could have got it stamped fom here in time).. Anyway I did also attach stamped a/c statement from december-may (I had applied for SP renewal so I reused)
6. My Tax return statements of the job that I had when I was in India, before going to Canada - to show that I am emplyable even in my home country and will return cause I had a good Job even here.
7. Copy of valid student permit

Hey Folks,

Just wanted to share a small good news with you guys.
My wifes TRV got approved in the second attempt.

Applied on 20 October
Approved on 1st November
First attempt was rejected based on Ties in Country of residence, Personal Assets and Travel History.

I addressed this with the below
Bought a new car in her name in India
Took a car loan in her name
Showed gold evaluation certificates
Travel history – wrote an affidavit that she will return back.
I hope this helps some of the us who had TRV rejections.
