Hello everyone,

Firstly, all the comments are appreciated.

I am Permanent Resident of Canada, and I am going to reapply for my brothers Visitor Visa.

I applied when I was Temporary resident (Student) in 2019 on my convocation, and Immigration accepted my mother’s application but rejected my brother’s application (now he is 28 years old)
Giving these reasons:
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
I know agent did not submitted application carefully.

Please let me know how I can justify these reasons.

Ties in Canada and India how these can be justified.

  • So what are his ties if single? He doesn’t have family ties so needs to show strong economic ties (investments, properties, job with approved leave). You being PR further weakens his ties.
  • Travel history: Does he have strong history to show that he will abide by immigration laws? UK, US, NZ or AUS?
  • Funds: What funds did he show (not you or parents)? How long was visit.? He needs to fund his own visit at 28 so needs to show that he is not using all his savings to come to Canada.
  • Visit: How long? Purpose?

Thanks Naturgrl!!

  • He is single, lives with my parents.
  • He is supervisor, he will get approved leaves, and has property on his name. Plus 16 lakhs savings account + current account in his account.
  • He does not have any travel history.
  • He will come for 4 weeks, his purpose is to visit me: I have my convocation in Oct 2023 and birthday in Jul 2023, both are good reasons celebrate together.

Here is my further question:

What could be strengthen the case? Purpose? how long genuinely he can visit me?

Let me know if he needs more funds in his account?

Thanks in advance.

How much money is that in dollars?

Sorry but this is very unpleasant experience. The Visitor's Visa for someone who is single and don't have much ties in his native country is difficult even Canada allows the Visitors to convert their TRV to WP or even PR in some cases but still such cases got rejected.

The only case that Increase the chance is his continuous Job or Business along with his family + his own house.

Approx CAD $25,000
Plus, I will be showing my account for emergency cad$ 25.000.

Ties: Unfortunately his family ties are weak. So he needs to show his job offer with approved leave and investment properties. He is lucky to get that much vacation.
Funds: Show his own funds. You showing funds are not relevant but can be included. It may weaken his profile if he needs emergency funds.
Visit: 4 weeks may be seen as too long. Maybe 2-3 weeks.

He has his own house, plus he has Family Business: Dairy farm and Agricultural production: Income approx. Cad $ 30, 0000 plus he is working as supervisor and have saving in account.

I would like to know more how I can justify he will go back, and he has good ties.

If he is married with kids and coming alone to attend a ceremony the officer will grant him a Visa however the officer might raise the point of concern since siblings usually don't visit the graduation ceremony however if you are getting married it might possible that officer think otherwise.

So if dairy farm is in his name then include It. Include business registration and contracts showing business dealings. All he can show is economic ties, not family.

He is single, still he can just come to visit me, right?
I want to meet him and make a trip plan for 3 weeks.

OOPS!! Then how do I show his family ties, my parents are the only family for him.

I know he will go back because he has responsibilities back home, property back home and parents are there we can't leave them alone there for long.
I am just concerned how do I tell this all to Visa officer, because sometimes I feel everything is so genuine, it's just I don't want to miss anything this time.

Parents, business and he have job, all depend on him.

If approved, he can come visit you. What people are trying to say is being single and therefore mobile with no travel history makes it more difficult (not impossible) to be approved. May be easier for him to get US visa first and meet up with you there.

This is not about you. It is about him showing his ties, contracts, jobs, properties as reason to return.
