I am seeking Canadian immigration/visitor visa advice. I became a Canadian PR via the FSW Express Entry program in 2019. My PR status is until 2024. However, due to a change of plans, I decided to settle in the US and never moved to Canada.
Now, my parents (who have had a Canadian visitor visa since 2011) are looking to renew their Canadian visitor visa so that they can visit my uncle (mother's brother) who lives in Canada. Their visitor visa application asks if the applicant has any immediate family who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. My questions are -

- Can my PR status have a negative impact on the approval chances of my parents' visitor visa application?
- Does it make sense for me to renounce my Canadian PR status? Why or why not?
