Visitor visa for my parent

Hello Everyone,

Any information here would be appreciated.
I'm planning to apply for a visitor's visa for my father to come to Canada. I would like to apply on his behalf and cover all related costs.
Firstly, in addition to an invitation letter, what other documents and steps do I need to apply for this visa?
Secondly, can I apply for this visa on my parent's behalf?

Th parent can apply himself/herself. They need to show finances and strong ties to move back

I would like to apply on their behalf because they have poor internet connectivity.
