Firstly I would like to thank this website for all the information which I got from conversations. Today I got my visitor visa V1 and I will share my views now. We four members: me, my husband, my mother and father applied for the visitor visa to attend the marriage of my cousin. My mom dad applied it through offline mode while me and my husband applied it through online mode. I recommend offline mode compared to online because it take less time and VFS is only carried the documents in both online and offline mode. In offline mode, you take the date of biometrics in any of the nearby VFS centre and on that day only, they take all your documents along with the passport to the IRCC office. It took 14 days maximum to get the reply from offline mode. However, in online mode, first you have to upload all the documents, then they check it properly and then ask for biometric. After biometric they again check your documents and ask for passport submission. So you again have to visit VFS centre (twice). Thereafter, you can again visit VFS centre for the collection of passport after stamp or you can use postal service. One thing in both the modes, the amount they charge remain same, but you have to visit one more time in VFS for the submission of passport. Thankfully, we all got the visa. But I suggest you should renew your passport if it is getting expired in a short duration because they will give the visa upto the validity of your passport.
