I got my visitor visa (10 years) based on my brother living in Canada. Then , I applied visa for my family (my wife, kids, and parents) saying that I have visa, we may plan trip together to visit my brother and they also got Visa (till there passport expires).

Now, I went to one of the immigration consultant for some query and He scared me saying that I have to travel to Canada within 30 days? Is it true ? Got worried :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Although I haven't heard of such thing, but what does your visa say? Valid from? Valid Until? Any preconditions with your visa?

There's no such rule. You and your family can travel anytime during the validity of your TRVs
