We applied for visitor visa for the whole family and were granted. Me, wife and 2 kids each has our own passport with the visitor visa inside.

We have some business to take care of, so we want our 9 years old daughter to travel to Canada first with her grandma(who also has her own supervisa). They will stay with our sister in Canada until we join them later.

We checked CIC website and they say we need a permission letter with parent's passport photocopies for the kid to travel without parents ( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/minors.asp )

Questions are:

There is only 1 kind of visitor visa, correct? Because we applied as a family, we are not sure if individuals can travel by herself.

Kids can travel without parents with a visitor visa, as long as we provide the permission letter correct?

The TRV stamped in each person's passport bears a different visa number + a different visa validity. Each person is free to travel alone without the other TRV applicants.

Yes, your daughter can travel with her grandmom. She must carry authorization/consent letters from you + your wife (including your 24x7 contact details) + passport copies (you and your wife) + copy of her birth certificate
