Biometrics completed June 2nd
Eligibility not started
Background check in progress
Why is it taking so long? I applied myself invited by my brother who is pr in canada.
I am only visiting for 2 weeks.
It was 18 days for processing time when I applied and now it's 21 days.
From what I have heard refusals are Tuesday and Thursday ever other day of the week are approvals. Kind of scared. In the ircc portal biometrics are updated as of June 2nd but the tracker shows in progress. Any suggestions or anything?

Exact Same scenario with me regardless biometrics. Biometrics was on 2nd june. Update in ircc portal on 3rd june. But in tracker it is showing in progress. No other activity rather than background check in progress.

I am not able to make an application tracker account, it show errors with correct information.

I don't know why ircc taking so long, previously background check completed on same date as biometrics done.

Hi I have had visitor visa to Canada which expired December last year, I went to Canada last year too. The first time I applied I was on student visa and my sister in Canada sent invitation letter which I applied with and it was approved. Currently I’m on work visa and want to sponsor myself, do I still need invitation letter from my sister, if I’m the one funding the whole trip?
