I am posting this thread to know the update on visitor visitor who applied in may 2025. Please share your timeline. I am inviting my friend on my wedding as a visitor. did anyone applied for their friend ? Please share below it will really help others too.

I applied for my sister, brother in law and nephew,

they did had a previous rejection due to an agent just uploading any kind of documents he wanted,

Hopefully they get to hear back soon , its just so sad the processing time is a misleading fact

they will send a biometric request letter.

We received letter for biometric submission for my mother today. I explored on VFS website to book appointment for her in Pune (India). However, it says that appointment will be first come first serve. So it seems we will not be able to book appointment as per date of our convenience.

Issue is that she does not live in Pune. So she will have to travel to Pune & she cannot travel for next 3-4 days. As per instructions we cannot reschedule / cancel an appointment & cannot book another appointment for 5 days.

My question is - When we book an appointment, do they provide appointment for next day or do they give 3-4 days buffer?

Is there still anyone who has applied on or before May 10th and still in progress? Mine has no updates after Biometrics completed. Processing time is so misleading

Yes, I had applied on 26th & biometric letter came on 2nd June.

What is age of your father in law? I found yesterday that biometric is not required if applicant is more than 80 years.
