Visitor status - need prescription

Looking for advice - my boyfriend is a visitor to Canada (Alberta) and is needing to refill or get a new prescription for his medication (he is from Italy), what are his options? Thank you!

Yes, my mother in law is here visiting now and had to do this a few weeks back. You'll need to go to a clinic and get a doctor to write him a prescription. In my mother in law's case that doctor's visit cost $50.
