Kindly let me know if I am going for symposium for 2 week as a visitor, do I need health insurance??

To put your mind at ease, yes of course you can buy a healthcare insurance. You never know what's going to happen (hopefully nothing) in your 2 week stay. At least you are insured. You can ask a booking agent from your home country on how to buy.
