Visitor extension took too long?

Hi guys...
I was in Canada and I applied for a visitor visa extension in September 22 2018. My application is still in process, and I haven’t received anything? Is that normal? I feel it took too much time?

Check processing times here both online and paper applications are quoted in excess of 100 days and you may not hear anything until decision made.

So it’s normal to take more than 100 days??
