Hello Folks!
I am a Canadian PR holder, and my wife is a British national who's in Canada at the moment living with me as a visitor. She entered Canada 4 months ago on eTA, and has travelled to the US and then back to Canada with me a couple of times since.
We are thinking of permanently moving to England at the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020. As such, we don't need for her to obtain the Canadian PR. Because for that, first we'd need to get all the paperwork together for PR application AND waste so much money in PR application fees.
Is there any an option to either extend her stay as a visitor beyond first 6 months or apply for Open Work Permit, without simultaneously applying for PR?
I have been browsing CIC's website for hours and can't seem to find a clear answer. Any suggestions?
