Visiting LVO?

Has anyone here attempted to pay their LVO a visit to find out the status of your applications and perhaps try to speed things up a little? If yes what was your experience like?
I may have to travel for work to the country where my VO is and this thought has crossed my mind..

I doubt you can walk in and ask whats happening with your application. Does not work like that.

I know some people in Pretoria VO have done that, but then again Pretoria has posted specific hours when applicants can visit and inquire about the status of their application. LVO might not have that kind of service, so you would want to check with them first before you come knocking on their door.

You could visit the LVO during their visiting hours if they have any to ask for an update on your application which you can see in your profile anyway. With regards to speeding up the process, I don't think you could meet the visa officer working on your application and say, "hey buddy, what's going on with my application? Speed up mate."

It is not possible to do that for my Office at least. You cannot even drop and pick up your passport there in person.
So all I can do is to order the notes and thats it.
