My husband is Cuban and he his with me in Canada is Visa is valid for 6 months, he would like to work but we are not sure about the procedure for the Working permit...he is a Temporary resident.
Can he apply even if he is in Canada....all response will be appreciate..

Thanks

he could prob apply for any job that has a Labour Market Opinion approved. (that means no canadians filled the position, therefor it is available to an immigrant)

Thanks for your response...my husband don't have a working Visa...he is not immigrant he is here for visit....

that's what i meant sweetie, anyone outside of canada can get a job offer and a LMO that gives the job to non-canadian residents (which is what i meant by immigrant, anyone not canadians). a visit visa is all u need along with the contract and LMO, to apply for a Work Permit. work permit can be applied at any port of entry like Toronto.

If your husband is in Canada as a visitor and can find an employer willing to hire and apply for LMO in his name, he can send his initial application for work permit to a consular office/embassy outside Canada (usually the US). He should check the processing times and apply for extension when needed.
