Hi,
I was recently accepted to study in Toronto starting in January and I have successfully obtained my letter of acceptance from the immigration website etc. However, I am travelling to Canada next week to attend a friends wedding. I will only be in the country for two weeks before returning to the UK and I have a return flight already booked. Obviously I don't plan on using my study visa for this short trip, however for some reason my ETA has been cancelled with no reason as to why. I can only assume that they cancelled it as soon as my study visa was granted, assuming that the next time I fly to Canada it would be to start my studies.
Has anyone else had this experience before? I'm not sure whether I I should just apply for another ETA and hope that it gets processed with no issue, but I'm a bit worried it might affect my study visa...
Any help would greatly appreciated!
