Hello, I am Tomas,

I am from Slovakia,

On June 30th, 2018, I submitted a study permit application. On July 10th, 2018, I received an online letter confirming that my study permit and eTA have been approved. However, I did not travel to Canada to start my studies due to the severe health issues of my grandfather (they resulted in his death). Therefore, I decided to defer for one year.
In July 2019, I am flying to Canada to start my studies.
Do I need to provide biometrics additionally or not, please?
I think that the answer is NO because I obtained my study permit and eTA before July 31st, 2018.
I am asking because I want to be 100% sure that there is no obstacle to study in Canada.

Thank you very much for your response.

Best,

Tomas
