I got the rejection on the new portal with the same reason. I too, am having spousal sponsorship in process and cannot seem to understand the reason.
was it also very quick?
I’ve reapplied in gckey portal and included a letter trying to highlight the reason for rejection, unfortunately the reason was absolutely unclear.

Yes they gave the rejection within 5 days of applying.

As a working Canadian citizen, I extended an invitation to my sister to attend my E-MBA graduation. Despite providing all necessary documents, including her bank statements and proof of her business in Pakistan, her visa application was rejected. Notably, during her visit, her husband will remain in Pakistan due to business commitments which further supports her intent to return.

Following the initial refusal, we made a second application, this time supplementing it with a support letter from my local Member of Parliament and an Undertaking from me to ensure my sister's return to Pakistan. Despite these additional efforts, her application was rejected once again.

This repeated refusal leads me to believe that there is a bias against Pakistani visa applicants within the IRCC.

With a rejection rate as high as 90%, this trend appears unjustified and raises concerns about the fairness of the visa application process.

It’s clear, and it’s unfortunate. Which portal did you use?

Hello forum veterans, seeking some advice here.

My wife is currently in the midst of a Spousal PR application (in Pakistan), she's given her biometrics a few weeks ago.

We applied for a visit visa for her, she is currently completing her university degree, and is set to graduate in July.

We requested a 10 day stay in Canada in Late May/early June, and included a letter from her University confirming her status. We included that she's coming to visit her spouse after months of being apart, we included that she needs to return to write final exams, graduate, attend convocation, and on top of that she'd like to stay with her parents and 4 younger siblings as she's been living hours away from them for the last 3+ years for University, and she can finally be with them after graduation.

We applied on March 27th, and we got rejected today (April 3).

There was nothing at all on the rejection letter except:

"The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application"

I definitely want to re-apply, but I am trying to figure out what the right approach is -- should I order GCMS notes, wait to see if I can get a more accurate reason for rejection and then address that? Or should I re-apply while stressing that she is going to return at the end of her visa (I don't know how to do that more clearly than we already did..)

any advice?
Was the timeline on the invitation letter a period of vacation by the school calendar in your country?

Agreed 100%. IRCC is against Pakistani applicants. My sister-in-law applied for a visit visa twice and got rejected both times. The first time she applied through GC Key, and the second time through a new portal. Both times it was rejected. She is almost 52 years old and married woman and have three children. Her youngest child is about 11 years old. She applied for herself and to show that she will return after visiting us to her family. But she still got rejections.
