Hello members,
I want to apply for my parents and younger sister who is 21 years old , 3rd year university student. My dad will be the principal applicant and mom is his dependent and will accompany him.
Does my sister considered as a dependent of my dad in TRV application?

Need help!!!
  1. Can I support for food and accommodation mentioning on invitation letter?
  2. Should they apply for 2 weeks OR 3 weeks?
  3. They want to join two upcoming events- My elder son's birthday and younger son's first rice feeding ceremony (one Hindu religious/cultural event). Should we mention that as a reason for visit OR only my family visit and sightseeing? ( I haven't met them since moved to Canada and they are egarley waiting to see my children for the first time)

You can offer to provide support for their stay (accommodation, local travel, etc). However, they must prove they have a good financial situation that can pay for the visit for three persons + they will return to Bangladesh.

Should they apply for 2 weeks OR 3 weeks?
It depends on their individual personal circumstances.

Generally, birthdays are not considered as compelling reasons to visit.

For the rice feeding ceremony, have you booked any venue, a temple priest, invitations to friends/relatives, etc?
Did they attend a similar ceremony for your elder son?

To the best of my knowledge, this ceremony takes place in the maternal uncle's home or the grandparents' home. This is not the case here. Also, it is again not a critical ceremony that requires grandparents/relatives to attend it.... unlike for example, the traditional naming ceremony

  1. For the ceremony I didn't take any preparation yet. No, they didn't attend the similar ceremony for my elder son.In our culture usualy this ceremony conducts by maternal uncle or grandfather. In previous case we performed this rituals at Temple by ourselves. This time I want my parents to be here. However if it will not be a strong reason, I would rather show only my family visit and sightseeing. Kindly share your idea @Bryanna
  2. What documents should we (me and my husband)submit?
  3. Can we send scanned invitation letter or need original copy with signature?
Thanks

Okay here's what I would do:
Apply for only your parents. Do not apply for your sister. IMO, she has the slimmest chances of getting a TRV approval in any case. By applying for her, your parents are effectively lowering the chances of their own TRV approvals.

You can certainly mention the Rice Feeding ceremony. It's just that you should not state it as the only purpose for their visit.

Their plan must include sightseeing, activities, etc in addition to the ceremony (the day-by-day visit plan with expense estimates).

What documents should we (me and my husband)submit?
Invitation letter + copies of your passport, immigration status, bank statements, NOA, employment letter, marriage certificate, etc.

If you need help then do post the list of documents that each parent intends to submit + some information about their personal/professional circumstance (do they own property/land, have a business/employed, live with other dependent family members, have they traveled to other visa-required countries, good financial situation, etc)

Generally, a scanned invitation letter will suffice. Nonetheless, do check with a VAC in Bangladesh[/QUOTE]

Thank you @Bryanna for your continuous help. Really appreciate that!!!
I do agree with you. But my parents want to apply together as they don't want to leave her alone. If they will get rejected, can only parents reapply (showing they have dependent single daughter as family ties)? Then how about the possibility in this case?

Mom:

  2. Two Flats which will be handed over middle of this year ( Papers on her name)
  3. Owner of a shop in a Market
  4. Visa stamp of india

My bad. I didn't expand your previous post for the other documents.

Can you post the list of documents for:
Your dad:
Ownership of the shop + what does he intend to construct/do with the vacant land + does he own a house/apartment where your family resides + any other dependent family members (your grandparents, for example) + who will manage his private clinic when he is away + any other work commitments to return to? Are the fixed deposits locked-in?

Your mom:
Property ownership papers, including if the shop/property is rented, rent agreements, rents received, etc + payments made for the new apartments + any sales agreement for these new apartments + her tax assessment + is the FD locked-in?

Your sister:
Student ID + prints of the school website (including for her study program) + when does her study program end? Is it a specialist/professional degree?
