Visit Visa for Parent and Parents in law at the same time

Hello Everyone,

First of all Thank you all for your guidance throughout the years. I have a quick question regarding visitors visa. Any suggestions/advice would mean a lot.

Me and my wife are under PR status and planning to invite our parents to stay with us for few months. We were wondering if we can apply for both of our parents at the same time but have them over on different time period. OR is it possible to have all of them come at the same time? We are worried if applying for both of our parents at the same time may pose issues regarding financial state.

Please advice.

Your wife was a student in December and you were unable to get an OWP. Did you both just get PR? Do you have PR cards? Your parents ability to get a TRV will depend on their ability to support their travels including quarantine, their own assets, their ties to their home country, previous international travel especially to UK, Australia, US, etc.

Oh I am really sorry to have misled you. The original post back in December was for my niece and her husband. I used the first person pronoun back then thinking it might be easy for members to follow.

The question regarding the Visit Visa is concerning myself. To answer your question, Yes me and my wife have been PR for couple of years now and are thinking of inviting our parents. They have visited us when we were in US previously so I believe that makes the application somewhat stronger.

Do you think applying for visit Visa for all of them at the same time would be okay then?

Yes that’s fine although the VO may wonder what’s going on that they all want to come at the same time. TRVs are most dependent on the applicant applying to come to Canada.
