Hi all,

A pal of mine who is also keen to move to Canada (but is yet to join this forum), was wondering if the following was correct:-

He claims that someone he is associated with just arrived in Ontario with no particular skill type, and applied for a working visa at the airport there and then!

- How risky is this?
- Also what are the chances of being declined and returned back to the UK?
- Can this be done on a one way airfare, or must the recipient have a return ticket?
- He has a permanent job offer, is this to be disclosed at the time or should he not show any intention to stay permenantly?
- If he does disclose the offer does the job definitely need to be LMO approved first, or can this be done retrospective of the Visa approval?

Sorry for the blurb, but due to this job offer he doesn't want this position to be filled by someone else!!!

Oh and anyone know if its an 'instant processing scenario'?

Cheers

Only if he had a BUNAC approval for a 1 year Working Holiday Work Permit.

Probably next plane home, nil chance

99%

Airline probably won't board you with a one way ticket, also if you arrive Immigration is going to ask you how you intend to get home.

Another way to get a one way ticket home, you need an approved job offer or permanent residence to work in Canada.

Needs an LMO

Probably going home instantly, if that is what you mean
