Hello, I was adopted and taken to the US when I was a child. The adoption was not completed by my parents when I was a child. I got into trouble in 2004 for grand larceny less than 3,000.00 and was given a sentence of 1 to 3. ICE came to see me once I was in prison and asked me all sorts of questions they told me I was going to be deported. After a battle with immigration I was deported when my lawyer at the time died from an asthma attack. In 2015 I found my biological sister that lives in Canada. I would like to go meet all of my 4 sister and 4 brothers that live in Canada. What are my chances of being able to go to Canada? Any recommendations?

As a visitor? Only one way to find out.

Apply for a visitors visa (if your passport requires one) and get the answer.

If you don't have a passport, it is likely you won't be allowed to enter Canada at all.

I'm not really sure what your crime equates to in Canadian laws so I really couldn't tell you if you're inadmissible based on your criminal record or not.

All you can do is try. If they say no, then you have your answer, if they allow you entry for a visit, then enjoy meeting your siblings.

If you are asking if you can come live in Canada, well that all depends on so many factors that if I were you, I would begin with a simple meet and greet first and take it from there.

Your true question is << How can I get a visitor visa to Canada and then once there, try to emigrate ? > right ?

No, not immigrate. Never been there and don't really know if it is something I would like to do.

Check with CIC if you are even able to enter Canada.
If you have any criminal charges in the past that resulted in jail time, you will likely be denied entry. You can contact CIC to see if you can clear your criminal record and get permission to go into Canada.
