visa release, but still ?

my visa already come out last dec 4 2009 as an immigrant. but when my agency called my employer, they advise to just wait. is it possible for the employer not to hire me anymore. and can i enter canada and find other job? my visa will expire october this year. pls advise thanks

I think you should wait as they advised you. You can enter in Canada and if they decided not to hire you anymore, you have to find another employer who can sponsor you.
