Hi,,

1) I have completed my b.tech in Elctrical and Electronics engg. but now i want to go for M.ENGG in Software engineering. My question is, if i change my domain is there any chance of visa rejection. please note that I have 2 yr of IT work experience as Programmer.

2) I have filled application for University of Regina. But the problem is with my ielts score. I got 6.5 band (writing 5.5) but their requirement was 6.5 with no less thn 6.

so is there any chance that I ll get the offer letter.

Academic grades:

10th- 70%
12th- 61%
B.tech- 8.03 GPA
+ 2YR WORK experience.

You don't just need to worry about whether the school will accept you or reject you - you also need to worry about CIC. Just because the school accepts you doesn't mean that CIC will. You should increase your IELTS score. CIC tends to reject study permits for Masters degrees unless the applicant has a score of at least 6.5 in each IELTS category.

But i heard that for admission under non-spp i.e. general CIC do not even ask for IELTS scorecard. In fact 1 of my friend is now studying M.eng in windsor univ who have got same band as me.
