Hello! I needed help in my next application after being refused! Do I really need to get the gcms notes in order to get a visa? Should I include in my cover letter that I hav been rejected a US visa as well

You didn't disclose your USA visa refusal in your first application?!?

You were refused a study visa? Did you not declare that you had been previously refused the US visa on the first application? What did you get refused for? If you didn't declare the US refusal in your application you run the risk of being banned for 5 years.

i applied for a study permit in 2016! And I recently got rejected for a US student visa 2018! And I now want to re apply for Canada again

Yes you have to mention your US refusal. There is a section of the application that ask if you have been refused a visa before from Canada or any other country. You must select YES to this question and fill in the details below stating the refusal. Why were you refused the first Canadian visa?

For canada the reasons where;
Didn’t show sufficient funds to be able to support myself
Personal assets and financial status
Purpose of visit

Do you have sufficient funds now? You will have to show strong ties to your home country and convince the CIC that you will return in your SOP.

Not necessary but it would help you to find the real reason you were refused. The reasons you were given are of a somewhat generic nature

You don't need to mention US visa refusal. It' not their business in Canada. Apply for gscm. Get a good lawyer to write SOP counter the reasons for your denial. Apply again

You do not need a lawyer to re-apply. Get the notes and amend your application so it has a better chance of succeeding.

I'm sorry but that is terrible advice. Canada and especially the US share information so they will find out and the OP will be banned for 5 years for misrepresentation. As stated, get the notes, but you don't need a lawyer.
