My aunt and uncle applied for a tourist visa at the Canadian embassy in Paris more than five weeks ago and gave their biometric information a month ago but have not heard back yet. They are Indian citizens but have been living and working in Switzerland (no Canadian embassies) for close to 30 years.
They are scheduled to fly to Toronto for my wedding in less than a month but are waiting to hear back, after which they would still need to send their passport (a 20-day process), assuming their tourist visa is granted...
I provided a letter of invitation to support their application and called the Canadian embassy in Paris - it's an automated message system with no options to speak to an agent.
Any suggestions on how to move forward in this time-sensitive matter?
