Hi there,

I was just wondering. I applied for my visa, but it was denied. I listed my father because his name is on my birth certificate. However, he is barred from the US and is not allowed back. And has a criminal record there.

Does him being barred from the US affect my application?

As well as, how should I go about reapplying? Do they compare applications if I apply again and don’t mention his name? And don’t put my birth certificate?

Yes, they can compare apps. You can't exclude his name. You are required to provide it on a mandatory form.
