Visa chances after long study gap of 7 years

I completed my BTech in 2011 got 63% and have been working since then. I am applying for studies in Montreal for Jan intake.

My ielts score is

Listening 9
Reading 8.5
speaking 7
Writing 6.5

What are my chances? Does having a good IELTS score give me any advantage in securing a study visa?

Good IELTS scores are not a big factor. Your choice of program and your plan to go back to school must make sense based on your previous education and work experience. That is one of the largest deciding factors on top of finances.
