Hey Guys,

I applied for my fiancé’s visit visa to Canada first time on 26th December which got rejected on 18th January.

We applied second time on 25th January and it got rejected on 16th February.

Third time, we made a very strong cover letter challenging previous visa refusals and attached notarised affidavits. We submitted online on 5th March and recieved the PPR today.

I just wanted to express that genuine visitors should not get demotivated by refusals and should not listen to any irrelevant advises asking not to apply before XYZ months.

If you are genuine and true, keep applying with a better explanation and additional relevant documents. Show better connections to your job, any property at your home etc etc. Try your best to prove that you will be returning to your country. Try to prove that your are genuine!

Lemme know if you need any help! I will be happy to guide.

Hi Onkar, congrats for the visa.
Can you please tell what was the reasons of refusal for the first two times and how you overcome and succeed on the third attempt.

Congrats Onkar, I'm on the same boat here. Applying visa for my mother. Could you share your timeline and reasons for rejection and what other additional documents you added the third time around?. Where did you apply from?.

Congrats. Every case is certainly different, and in the end, it's the visa officer's opinion that matters. The rest of us can only provide general guidelines based on trends and observations. IMO, I would still discourage consecutive applications.

That's really how every applicant should approach the application.

Hi,

The reasons for refusal for first two attempts were same:
1. Travel History (my fiancé had never been to any country outside India except Dubai).
2. Intentions to return to country of origin.

We addressed to each and every point with a separate addressal as to how we are genuine in both cases. It was 2 page length “Petition challenging previous visa refusals”. The language was more like a “lawyer” arguing.

True! But it’s a lesson that we shouldn’t take Canada TRV lightly, it’s not the same as schenegen or UK. This is the mistake I did initially.

Hi Onkar, i myself am looking to apply but i think i can get rejected for the same two reasons:
I dont have travel history in a place that counts like USA and Europe etc
I dont have ties to country like land or car, but i do have more that 30000 USD in bank
I am employed and can get doc notarized but do not have any other reason to say ill come back here which i will
Can you explain how you challenge the two refusals for your GF as well if you used a Lawyer can you recommend who thanks!

It started around 19th March or so..
Looking at your timeline, it is 26 days since review of eligibility. Normally if they want to refuse, they do it within a week or two. Your application will most likely be approved.
