Visa Approval for Parents/Grandparents sponsorship

Hi Everyone,

Application/Documents transfer to Visa Office - Manila Nov 2013

Meds done Feb 2014

Passports required and submitted May 2014

UNTIL NOW NO UPDATE HAVE BEEN RECEIVE

My questions are: * How long do i have to wait for Visa approval?

** Do i have to wait for 65 months from Nov 2013 when CIC transfer
the application/documents to visa office - Manila?

I wouldn't put much reliance on the current processing times. They apparently based on the time to process 80% of applications. Years ago, they also gave figures for the time to process 50% of applications, and these times were much closer to what I experienced.

Our application was just finished in Ottawa in 8 months. The processing time for Ottawa is listed as 64 months. Makes no sense to me. Best bet would be to compare your situation with others going through the same visa office.

Im actually confused with this processing times. Coz the processing times for the first step is 40 months which makes sense to
me, but for the second steps stated 65 months base on what visa office (Manila) they trasferred the documents, but the thing is, if they will process my PR application for 65months, Why they already obtained our passports so early, so meaning i have wait for another 4years more for visa approval?, and during those time, the passports and medical are already expired.

Yes, I understand where you are coming from. I asked the same questions. Why would they ask for a medical exam, knowing it would expire within a year, if they were not planning on getting the processing done within that year.
