visa and multiple passports

Hi,

My old passport was damaged with too much travel and it started having scanning problems, so I applied for a new passport and got a new passport.
Recently, I got the skilled worker visa. It is stamped in the new passport but the older passport number is written in the visa stamp.

Is it alright to have older passport number in the visa which is stamped in the newer passport ? Or should I need to contact Consulate and ask them to put the new passport number instead of the older one.

have both passport to prove it or better call cic to get more information concerning that matter
and remember that it's always good to be on the safe side.

I have a question. When you got ur new passport did you inform CIC abt it or went directly for stamping with both the passports? I'm in a similar situation where my wife's passport expires soon and we have to renew it.

Also, if you have landed can you share ur experience?
