Dear forum members,

i am new on this forum and I need to ask you one question to help me find best way.
I send my application in February and after 39 days my wife got SA and they transfer my files in Vienna. After we send application I came to visit my wife in Canada and I am with her and waiting for my PR.

My questions are:

1. Is it mandatory to go in Vienna on interview, or they call just some, not all?
2. Can I change my address and ask them to all documentation send my on my wife address in Canada?
3. Am I in obligation to send passport for visa, if I have valid visa in, or COPR is not something that goes in passport is that documents?
4. Can someone send me those documents in Canada, in case they arrived in my address outside?

Basically, Can i stay in Canada and wait to get my PR and activate COPR, in case they approve me before i plan to leave?

Thank you Sorella! We are over the moon. My husband lands March 29th. Thank God it's over!
We are very grateful a decision was made without needing the ARC. I believe we were given grace in approval and timing as the interview was 3 weeks prior to the end of his exclusion order.

You will only be called for interview if officer in Vienna questions if marriage is genuine.
If you have no Cbsa history... Removal order etc and give complete application with lots of proof and you did not marry fast after meeting an interview should not be called.
You only need send passport if not from visa exempt country.

Thank you so much on your answer. I need visa to enter Canada but I have valid multi visa so i don't think they will ask for passport. I am trying to find the way how to change address, so far there is only option for my wife. Thanks again

We needed an address correction in Vienna. I tried a few times emailing but no response. Then I did case specific Enquiry. Next day an interview invite happened. So we added it to the response.
It must be the applicant emailing Vienna for address change. Not sponsor. If you don't see change in ecas then it's not been dealt with. I think the problem was I was trying to make the request and I am the sponsor. They only respond to applicant perhaps.

I got the regular response "that a review of his application is ongoing" they always say the same thing , I don't even know why I email them, I guess hoping they will say something new and positive.

Still no news from vienna,even i told them already that im going to give birth this month and i need my husband.They still on review /process.its been 2years now since we submit our application

2 years??? Wow... I'm gonna send in the application this May and I was (and still kind of am) hoping I can land in Canada beginning-mid 2017. Maybe I'm too optimistic.

Many apps are being approved in 5-8 months. Not to worry if case is straight forward.

ARC are different cases than the regular process of sponsorship, I suppose?
It's so sad it takes forever, families shouldn't be separated for so long.

Well today i thought my husban got an email to send his pasport for visa because he already past the interview but told him to go home. well the email was they are missing polic check ans we need to submit it we already did in original application. Dose any one know how long it takes for police check to expire

Hope this is to thw end we will be together soon
