Dear friends

Could someone here try to help me to interpret the email I received from Vienna today!
This is a reply to my email to them 2 days ago when i wrote them about their email to me telling me that my files were transfered from Mississauga on November.

Dear Mr. XXXX XXXXXXXXX
This refers to your below inquiry.
The original File F000XXXXX has been cancelled due to the fact of change of immigration Category from FCC common-law to FC1 category married spouse;
The new FC1 file number is F000XXXXXX; ( This new file was electronically transferred form the Case Processing Centre Mississauga to our office in Vienna in November 2013.

I understand that they changed our file number because we went from Common-Law to Married status. But why they are saying that our file was transferred from Mississauga in November. Is this mean that the send our files to the end of the Q

If anyone here knows please let me know

Thanks to all

I think your application mustn't be in the same state as if you've withdrawn your original application (common law) and then filed a new one (marriage). With that scenario you'd expect it to be at the end of the queue.

Best

Congratulations Muby, you see, it was worth to wait , all the best and welcome to our lovely place Canada

Europe

My dear friend you are right!,,, Thank you so much

Congratulations Muby! Finally some good news... :)

I have one question, if someone can help me. I think I already asked that, but I would like to confirm. So, I'm from Croatia, my husband is sponsoring me, but I've been living in Canada with him since January 2012. We submitted application in March 2013 and we paid everything, the whole 950 or so dollars right away. Once I get approved, will I have to go to Vienna to pick up my visa or send them my passport, or is it possible that they will send me the visa without me having to go to Vienna. I'm going to Croatia in January, but I intend to stay there 20 days only. I wouldn't want to have to go again in few months just to give them my passport. Another cost I don't need. If I have to go to Vienna, then I would stay in Croatia until I get my COPR...

Hello JJ 22

You don't need to go to Vienna to pick up your passport. Most of the applicants get email to send their passports. The most important is to send Vienna an email when you will be in Croatia and then one email that you are in Canada.

Congratulations Muby!!!!!

Good luck guys!!! I wish Santa to give you the PR for Christmas this year!!!!

This scenario should not be applicable really friend!

This is normal due procedure. You applied 9 months ago as common-law, in the way a few months later you get married (with your common-law) and also have a baby. To change your file number I understand, But to take you out from your waiting Q and throw you back to the end of the line I think it doesn't make any sense and its unfair.
And why do they mention Mississauga here. Mississauga deals with the sponsor. And we had sent the marriage update we sent them over to Vienna and not Mississauga!
It's just doesn't compute!

Tom
