Hi Everyone!

So Sopron, yesss, it's nice. Sopron makes a very good beer, have you tried it? I don't like it, I can't swallow beer at all, but they say it's a good one.
Actually I do love this country.. I would never leave it, if my sexy sweet husband wouldn't live in another country... which is beautiful as well. I lived there for two years, so I feel myself at home in Canada as well.
I was reading back, and I checked a lot of timelines, as I saw there are simple cases being over in half a year. Gosh I wish it would be so. I know, every each case is unique, but I am praying... :)

Oh, my info: CPC received the app on July 16th, our medical was done on 28th of May. The office is Vienna, obviously :D
This is all I know for now.

Thanks , I appreciate the help, and the option of being added to the spread sheet. These terms are new to me though. AOR , and for application filed is it when it was received at CIC Mississauga, or when my husband got a confirmation letter from Vienna? Gee, I guess I really am a newbie LOL

I have a question, if a spouse is able to come to Canada on a visitor visa what happens when they get their PPR. Will they return the passport to Canada or residence abroad. If they do manage to get a visitor visa what would they say when they land? what are the chances of them getting denied entry. Also if they request an interview can they do that in Canada or have to return home and then proceed to the designated VO? I met a visa officer that works here and he said we should apply for a visitor visa making it sound like it shouldn't be a problem. Anyone have any experience with this? My wife has had the same job for 17 years but doesn't have anything in her name (house/apartment) and then there is the issue of funds.... from what I've heard you need to have X amount of money on your account showing you can support yourself. Is it worth going thru all the hassle again or just wait it out? Any thoughts?
Thanks

Better to address your query in the main family thread as there would be many people with own experience on this.

You thought correctly. It is the best source but most of the older members the ones with experience are long gone and those who remained are somewhere on vacation. Only Europe still frequents this thread but she is also going to a vacation.

Take care amigo.

I don't have all the answers you would want but for the interview (if she's invited to one) she would have to go to Vienna. My husband was in Canada for a part of his process but he's from Germany so he didn't need the visa. When the passport is requested, they would return it to the address indicated on E-cas. So if she managed to get a visa, you would have to change her address to your Canadian address so that the passport gets sent correctly.
I don't think it's that easy getting the visa though. I know of a girl who wanted to apply for a study visa (from Bosnia), she had $$ and an appartment and still got rejected. Not sure why. They might be afraid that she won't leave Canada once she gets here. But you can try and apply. It won't really affect your process either way.
Sorry I can't help more..

Hi guys,

Europe, have a great time! I wish I was there with my husband as well already :'(

We have no news yet.

Tom, you think positive, thats great! Here we have our Monday, this might be your week, who knows ;)
May I ask which country are you from? but if not, I do understand and sorry for asking it. :-[ :)

I read in a lot of threads and my Gosh, there are some really quick processing times.. I know, every case is unique, but it's still amazing how fast it could work though.

Hello Hungary
please feel free to ask me anytime.

I am a Greek a naturalized Canadian from 1984. Lived in Toronto till 1990 when me and my family decided then to move back to the old country. After 23 years here it is time again to move back to Canada, (thanks to the austerity crisis here) this time in Vancouver. i am remarried and my younger wife is from Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia her village is just by the Greek border only 78km away from my city Thessaloniki.
So naturally her VO is Vienna.

Talking about quick processes yes some VO's do work a lot faster. Prime example is Paris. Two of our February thread members the only ones from Paris got their COPR's in less than 4 months total. One of them has gone to Canada and the other goes in September.

Nice talking to you

Tom

Thanks for your reply. Greece is beautiful, and not too far away from Hungary. Not like Canada ;)
So you have a nice story!
I suppose you already moved back and you are now sponsoring your wife outland of Canada.
God, I hate this long distance crap :( I wish he lived in England or somewhere in EU.... :'(

Ohh and the V offices, well yeah.... 4 months in total, that's soooo great!!!
But in one of these threads I read about the Warsaw office, which gave the PR in 20 DAYS!!! For a common law. Lucky guys they are... And China Beijing applicant got everything done in total 2,5 months... Well, I dont really get it. But I am praying for all of us here being far from the loved one....
