hi everyone, im also going through Vienna. I'm sponsoring my husband whos a citizen of Bosnia and Hercegovina. We just got a req for his passport which unfortunetly came back empty with no visa, possible misunderstanding..

Does anyone else think that Vienna is so slow with replying to emails? I keep checking every day, it takes them days.....just currious if anyone else has that same concern...

my medicals were re-done On May 2nd and mailed to London. Still no news.

As far as I know it normally takes them 5-8 weeks to process 2nd medcals. Mine took almost 8 weeks.

I have a question that you guys may or may not be able to answer.
My husband is from Serbia (non-EU) and has used up his 3 month consecutive travels in EU. He was told that he has to wait 3 months in Serbia to travel again without a visa. Will he be able to travel to Vienna to receive his PR visa? Or does he have to get a special transit visa to enter Austria?

did u calculate that time from the day you were in med office and took medical, or from supposed arrival of your medical results to London?thank you

you are better off looking on austria-serbia relations and see what they say. I know that once your 90 days is up in EU you have to go back home for another 90 in order to be able to legally travel back and fourth. Maybe Vienna can mail him his PR visa? Where does he live in serbia..are you in Canada and he's in Srb?

Yes, I'm in Canada and husband is in Serbia. We are patiently waiting to receive an AOR from Vienna; file was transferred beginning of May 2012.
I think I'll get my spuse to contact the Austrian Embassy and find out if he can get a transit visa or something to travel for the 1 day. We prefer he goes to Vienna to get his PR, rather than wait 2-3 weeks to send/receive his passport.

I calculated from the date I re-did my medicals (the date I was in med offfice).

Hubby and i are both in bosnia. I have been here since 2010 we are doing paper work all from here. We recieved email to send his passport to Vienna to stamp visa but we were supposed to send from IOM in sarajevo and im not sure what happend but they returned passport with nothing in it.no letter of explanation, nothing....im starting to believe our passport never made it to vienna.... so our next thing is, we;re going to vienna to get visa....can we do that rather then sending it all over agan? Can you actually go in person and get it?
Did your hubby go to military and all the 'fun' stuff our countries had to offer before? where are u in canada.......sorry im bombing with so many questionss

Vienna have (or used to have) service in person on Mondays and Thursdays, I think. Check their web site for more info. Also on this thread you may read experiences of some members that went in person to get their visas (glak1234, Serdj977...)

Tell me, if you go in with the letter (in my case email) where they ask you to provide passport...do they give you visa the same day? We are deffinetly going to pay them a visit to get COPR. just want to be sure....ill read some of the experiences but right now im just way too currious to wait

Yes, it was the same day service. As far as I remember it was something like you drop off your pp early in the morning (I am not sure about exact time) and come back in the afternoon to pick it up...

Does Vienna accept walk ins? As in, just come in morning, drop off passport, explain situation and all that ? someone mentioned it so i thought id ask and make sure
