Thank you. I knew that.
I plan to stay there almost 6 months and apply outland. I got confused for a moment with what Hauser wrote. :-[

it depends on your plans.
If you plan to visit and go back, than what Serj told you is the best solution.
Just try to understand this : applying inland or outland sounds the same on the paper, but in reality - applying outland is much, much better solution.

@Frida , I totally agree with what Serdj said , tell them that you are visiting ( that is what you are doing , you are coming back ) and even if you do not , you can extend your visitor visa from within Canada, but you apply outland , check Indigo`s status, she did similar thing .

I know it's moral dilemma but you are not doing anything wrong. You are coming back.

Think about it this way :
He could propose to you while you are visiting and two of you could get married within those 6 months. No plans, he just pop the question and you said yes. ;D

When I called CIC, I got a totally different answer than I did from my local Immigration building here in my city...When I called CIC the man said that what information I got before was completely wrong and that I could do exactly what Serdj said... Apply outland and while my app is still being processed.. I could have my wife come over to visit me. He said that I can send away my file (which I did in mid January 2011)... and then I'm flying to Europe with empty luggage... getting my wife and our son... packing up everything that we can, then flying back to Toronto together... since my wife doesn't speak very much english, I will be the one talking to the boarder agent... the CIC guy said to just nicely explain the situation to the boarder agent... perhaps show proof of income so they know you can take care of them while they're here, maybe show proof of medical coverage, a place to stay, definitely some return ticket home and whatever else I think.. then he said that he's known Boarder agents to stamp passports far beyond the 3 months typical time entry into canada.. Technically, if you have a Passport good for another 10 years... they have the power to stamp 10 years ahead! If the boarder guy understands and is nice enough.. You might get stamped 1 year or more!! That's what I'm hoping... then there's a great chance everything will be completed and there's no need to fly back. The CIC guy said he's personally dealt with people who were able to do exactly that, and it worked. It is possible :) With the interview, he said that once my wife arrives, tell CIC about the change in address for my wife... if Vienna were to request an interview, then they could tell Vienna that my wife is currently in Canada, then they could perhaps change it to have the interview held here.. but if they were to say that they insist, it must be over in Vienna, then there is nothing to do but to go there... He said it's unlikely it would happen that way, but in theory it could happen and that I should know... The interview thing scares me though... Flying back to Vienna for an interview... and if it happens in the summer... there is 0% chance for me to take time off during the summer, i'd either have to quit or have CIC call my work and tell them that this is Government telling me to go there and that they should allow me to leave... Any normal boarder person would understand that you 2 just don't want to be apart for that long... and here in canada every day that you are in this country before you are granted PRC counts as 1/2 day towards getting your citizenship (I think 1095 days total required within 4 years).. so that's an added bonus. Good luck with whatever you do.. I'm just telling you everything that I've heard about this.

Hauser, I know about the difference between inland and outland, my intention was always to apply outland. ;D

I have enother problem - I already have my medicals done. Due to my own stupidity and a consultation at canadian consulate where I got the advice, I thought "conjugal partners" is what we are and therefor I started with the procedure so the medicals are already in the system.
It will be totally suspicious as to why my medicals are already done, but our wedding date will be 6 months after... If I will be honest they will say I got married just because of the visa... I have no idea what to do in this case and it's scaring me... any advice??? Please... :'(

well honey conjugal partners do get married :) what is wrong in that. in the meantime You just decided to take next step in your relationship, I don`t see anything wrong in that. You went to visit your conjugal partner and you got married . You will be with him those 6 month as allowed by Canadian government, and you will be back home for the rest of the process .

So you think I can explain the way it really happened? That we wanted to apply as conjugal, but then realized we couldn't...? I'm so scared to tell the truth, because they might say it: oh so you decided to get married just to get the visa? I'm terrified honestly. As I look back I was completely confused about this conjugal stuff, the lady at the consulate here in Slovenia told me so and also when me and my boyfriend were visiting Vienna we decided to pop by the embassy and ask some questions there (our hotel was across the street) and I was confident we're on the right track.

@ Ocanadaguy
Thanks for sharing, welcome to our Vienna topic :)
If your wife is from visa exempt country you have lots of opportunities. :) Border officer can decide how long she can stay and it might be a year but I think that they have ground rule for visa exempts and that's 6 months tops. Anyway that's plenty of time :)

About the interview :
She will be invited for an interview only if they doubt in genuineness of your relationship. If she is invited you don't need to attend so you don't need to take your days off.

@ Frida
You've been visited each other back and forth for some time right? You have genuine relationship and you have proof for that. Photos and stuff. You'll be fine.
Medicals...yes you rushed a bit there... but add explanation to your application and they probably wont make a fuss about it as long as medicals are valid. I hope that your application will be over before expiration date of meds.

Lucky rain and Serdj, thank you as always. I'm a little bit more calm. Yes, we have lots of proof, I'm not worried about that.
If my medicals expire, I'll just do it again.
Thanks again, I'll probably ask you guys for more opinions before I apply... :-[ :)
