I know of one guy who came last year i helped him get insurance and it was thru Td Bank. I wont have this problem because my wife doesnt drive and i think thats best then she cant run away so easily hahahaha joking.

Hi Milan

Last year I inquired to the insurance providers board (or association) and they told me the following. Because my driver's license comes from a country with a non reciprocal agreement (means i cannot exchange it for an Alberta licence) i still have to go through a written and a driving test and if I succeed I won't have to be in the GDL program. Now about insurance: They said that if I can provide them with a 10 year safe and claim free driving from my insurance here in Greece then they can give me a max of 40% discount on the current rates...
To be honest I don't know what the rates are in Alberta (I do hope they are not expensive as the ones in Ontario.
Could you ask your insurance guy if the info I have are correct? I would really appreciate this if it doesn't take too much off your time!

Regards

Tom

My wife is in Nis but even the sales are short and not frequent. I go to tommy hilfiger 2 big bags of clothes and pay 200-300 dollars after all discounts. One tommy t-shirt in serbia is 100 euro. So everytime i go i buy friends and family tommy clothes hahaha

I love tommy outlet great deals all year-round :) an i too buy lots as gifts when i go back home
The all think i spend too much but when i talk about our sales here their jaws drop hehe

Hey, the same here! My husband bought Tommy t-shirts for everyone here, when he was coming, because they were about 10$ on a sale. :D An there is Tommy H. shop in Belgrade, the same one costs 8000 dinars, jeans are about 26000, bags more than 40000! The same situation is for Guess, Esprit, Hugo Boss...

Since we opened a topic about shopping, have u noticed the difference in staff working at stores in canada, and in serbia....omg the ones back home are very snobby and too important to help u hehe and here they r sometimes tooo annoying asking 10 times can i help u haha

I was added to my boyfriend's car insurance. I had to submit a letter from my German insurance that I was claim-free in the last 10 years.
Our insurance rate went down.

We pay 99 dollars monthly for a Jeep Wrangler 2012 for a 42 and a 29 year old driver with clean records

Not a problem, im thru intact ins for house and cars but im just wondering are you able to just switch your drivers in another province? Then switch again in alberta without having to take the tests? I will contact my insurance guy and ask. Im sure each company might have different policies for that. Drpends what vehicle you have and if you have your home insurance you get a discount like a package. My guess you would be paying 80-120 a month as an average.

Not only that but in nis i noticed by the time they have a sale they dont have the right sizes. And selection is horrible. Im a tommy guy everything from head to toe is tommy hahaha. We talked about salteruse the other day i think people are grumpy everywhere in serbia. The only ones that are nice are the kafane/restaurants in the small towns that are happy to see anyone come thru the door. Most of my friends here are from serbia and it pisses them off here when waiters come by and ask you how things are every 10-15 minutes but over there sometimes you cant flag down anyone for half an hour hahahaha. I love going there but that country is so behind in the times when it comes to somethings

Hehehhehe, I agree! :D Well, I haven't been in Canada yet, but my husband has a lot of experience in Canada shopping. :D Grrrr, shopping in Serbia looks like this: Seller: Hi, can I help you? Me: No thanks, just looking. So I walk by the store and look, and she goes behind me and breathing down my neck! And if I'm in a perfumery or in a more expensive cloth - store, if I'm not dressed as a potential customer, she follows me as I'm going to steal something!

No I cant. Although I had a Ontario licence of all categories (A,B,C,D,E,F,G) during my stay in Canada, it expired since I have been away from Canada for over 24 years.
Greek licences cannot be exchanged with any province.
The only European countries that have an exchange agreement with Canada (all provinces) are: Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland and Wales
I won't definitely have a home when I arrive (that will be a few years down the road) to combine my insurance so I would like if you can ask the guy if I am entitled to a discount if I do bring in my Bonus Malus proof. (Insurance coverage free of claims)

At the malls they have SECURITY for that haha
