Hi again,

Just wondering if anyone knew what is the normal waiting time after the completed interview, 2nd medical, and updated Schedule A form has been sent?
We had the interview on Nov 19th, request for 2nd medical on Nov 25th, completed 2nd medical on Nov 26th, and sent the doc on Nov 28th - AND WE ARE STILL WAITING. (not to mention that we applied 2 YEARS AGO, Feb 22nd.).

Is it normal to wait this long after the 2nd medical?
Any similar experiences? Help? Please?

Hi CanucksFan - I am not of any help to you however I must say I can’t believe that you are still waiting.. Have you considered talking to a lawyer because your waiting times are ridiculous! Why do you have to wait so long and others don’t??

Dear CanucsFan,
I cannot imagine how frustrated you are after this much waiting. Have you tried sending them a case specific inquiry? They would have to send a response and can't hurt to try. This is way beyond unreasonable already.

I agree. Also, contact your MP and ask for assistance. Your application is way over the normal processing times, your MP can help you find out what is going on. It would be good to ask for your GCMS notes to find out which stage your application is at and why is there a delay.

Oh, we did, on January 28th, still no reply, to the one before that they replied with the standard: "You will be informed about the further steps AFTER we have received all background check results"

We requested GCMS notes also on Jan 28th. And we emailed the MP.
Hoping to be home before the GCMS notes arrive. :(

But, let's put the two years of waiting aside.

We are now more interested in what is going on at the moment.
What is happening after the interview and the 2nd medical? And for how long typically?

Can anyone share their timelines or experience after the interview/2nd medical?
How long before the Passport request?

THANK YOU for all the support and help! :)

Good luck and hope you will hear tomorrow good news.

Europe,

Thank you, hopefully you are right.
As far as I can remember, your predictions always come true, so I am glad you answered this. :)

All the best, we will keep you posted.

I received an e-mail from Viena last Tuesday (Feb. 28) asking for proof of ongoing communication and any trips that I've made to visit my husband. That's all. No re-med, no police certificate, nothing. I sent everything on Friday and my docs reached Viena today. We applied Feb.22, 2013 and this is the first time we've heard from them. Why was i asked for these docs so late into the process and is this a good sign or bad? Please help, im freaking out

It's a good sign, I've seen a similar request recently, they just want to confirm that your relationship is strong. Don't worry, you are part of this group people who will receive their COPRs soon.

New line in ecas says: "We started processing your application on January 20, 2014."

Pretty discouraging.

I sent them communication for 1 year, skype, whatsapp conversations. Full conversations. Around 400 pages worth. Plus sent them my plane ticket, boarding passes, and photos of my trip during Christmas. If that's not enough, idk what is. Thank you i hope it's over for all of us!

Don't worry about it...JJ22 was showing they started processing Jan 30th and the next day the decision was made. I'm sure once you send in the new medical and the requested doc's it will be finalized. By the way, for my husband it's showing they started processing January 18th 2013 ( a year ago).
Soooo....no clear pattern whatsoever.

Don't be discouraged. I've been reading these forums for over year and a half and I've seen a lot of people who received their Passport requests and/or COPRs a few days after seeing what you saw in eCas. GOOD LUCK!!! Believe.

Heheh, Eva, it looks like we are 24/7 Support Line here. Oh, how I wish it all ends well for all of us soon, and by soon, I mean tomorrow. :)
