Do I need to get my marraige recognized in Canada before sending in our application...Or can it be done after?????

We got married in Mexico but of course need to get our marraige certificate apostal in Chetumal....Can we send in our application without having this done or is it a MUST before sendin in application?? I do not want my application sent back to me

Marriages don't need to be registered in Canada. Any legal marriage performed in any country, is considered legal in Canada.

So all that's required for your PR app or for any other purpose in Canada that needs proof of marriage, is your Mexican marriage certificate with official translation to English.
