I applied with my children on 3rd of April and me and my son took our test on the 2nd October. It all went very smoothly and the interview was only 5 mins. She was more curious about my son's unusual name than anything else. She wanted to know about what family we had here and if we had plans to go back to the UK. We haven't really travelled outside Canada much since we arrived and most of my family are here so it is pretty straightforward.

I applied with my children on 3rd of April and me and my son took our test on the 2nd October. It all went very smoothly and the interview was only 5 mins. My ATIP shows that the decision for my test/citizenship was made in Dec 2013, and that they decided two-three months before my citizenship test when it would be..its just very delayed..I didn't get test until June so took them a long time.

Thanks JJR, that's helpful to know. It is curious that they decided on your test 6 months before. I wonder if people who applied after you got their test date before you.

Looking at the Google spreadsheet, there are people who applied in may, june, even july who have done their test....very frustrating

This is very unexpected (at least for me) - is my understanding correct that you already received you Oath invitation via regular mail, but there was no information about this invitation in the "Client Application Status" report of the CIC website?

Also, congratulations with the upcoming citizenship ceremony!

I received the letter last Thursday Nov. 13 - oath ceremony on the 25th and my ECAS updated at the same day too. I checked my ECAS daily by the way.
