What's the TRV we r supposed to have with the LOI? For people who had no Canadian visa before applying n now got their LOI, did u get a S1 or V1 visa stamp/sticker in ur passport alongside d LOI ????

Oh ok we'll I already had a valid v1 aka visitor category visa n they gave me an s1 too so I'm kinda confused

Though V1 and S1 are both temporary resident visas, I think V1 is for visiting and S1 for studying, like the US gives B1/B2 for visiting and F1 for studying.

I was confused about which of d one is necessary fr study permit purposes.. N if having both could be an issue since both grant u entry into canada

you will have to show your S1 visa and get a study permit to make u eligible to study. V1 does not entitle you a study permit. If u enter on S1, u can study, else if u enter on V1, just visit, enjoy and have to come back after the given deadline.
