Using NEXUS Card as one of the Required ID or addt'l supporting document.

Hello all,
Has anyone here submitted application with the NEXUS card as one of the required picture ID or just an addt'l document?
Not sure if NEXUS card is accepted as picture ID by CIC or if that could hurt one's application.

I submitted a copy of my NEXUS card as an additional ID with my application. I'm pretty sure they would accept it as a required picture ID but I didn't want to take the risk and used my PR card and OHIP card as my primary ID.
